Hi, my name is Galit Goldfarb, and I’m here with another diet and health tip.
This tip is all about HEALTH OBJECTIVES.
Health Objectives are really End Goals which you want to achieve on your path to health and your perfect weight.
I love designing health programs in such a way that it would increase the ability of my clients to take the information and actually use it in a practical way in their life.
So the secret to taking the information you are given through your dietary program and actually using it in a practical way in your life is to be very clear on your health objectives.
When you begin on your weight loss and health journey… the first thing you want to do is ask yourself: what is the number one overall health objective I want to achieve now in my life?
For example, it could be that by the end of your weight loss journey you will be able to easily continue on the path to lasting health while maintaining your new weight independently… or that you will achieve the best blood test results for you and maintain them easily by adhering to your dietary program… those are examples of overall Health Objectives.
Once you have chosen your single most important Health Objective for your current state of health, the next thing to do is to take a look at each section of your health and weight loss program and to choose 1-2 health objectives per section.
For example, let’s say your first health and weight loss section is all about the diet which will help you to lose weight and achieve optimal health. You want to be crystal clear on what the two health objectives are here.
What are the two things you want to achieve by the end of the diet section? What weight do you want to achieve, what foods do you want to eat more of or avoid overall?
Let’s say your second weight loss section in your weight loss program is all about your exercise program which will help you to lose weight and achieve health. You want to be crystal clear on what the health objectives are here.
What are the two things you want to achieve by the end of the exercise section? What exercise program do you want to commit to on a regular basis, what time of day and on which days do you want to commit to exercising overall?
Now, let’s say your third weight loss section is all about your state of mind which will help you to lose weight and achieve lasting health. You want to be crystal clear on what the health objectives are here as well.
What is the mindset you want to have by the end of your health and weight loss journey? Do you want full internal control over your health and weight without having to follow a strict dietary formula such as calorie counting, etc. , but instead you will know exactly what you need to do at any point in time to achieve your health and weight loss goals easily and simply?
When you are crystal clear on what your health objectives are, this allows you to care for your health and execute your weight loss program perfectly and in alignment with your intentions.
The other really important thing about setting your health objectives in advance is that later o, you can examine yourself to see if you actually accomplished whatever it is you wanted to achieve.
So for example, let’s say your intention was to lose 10 pounds in one month by removing dairy products from your diet and eating more vegetables as well as setting set times to walk briskly three times a week for 45 minutes. Well, at the end of the one month period you can check your status and determine whether you achieved your health objectives or not.
If you haven’t achieved your health objectives, then you need to go back and work on your weight loss strategy because you couldn’t adhere to it very well, so it needs to be tweaked so that you CAN adhere to it in the long term.
So that’s your weight loss and health tip for this week. If you have any questions at all about losing weight or about achieving your health objectives or how to choose them… post your questions or make your comments below. I’ll be sure to read them and get back to you just as soon as I can.
Until next time, stay amazing!
Galit Goldfarb 🙂
